Harder than the Hinges of Hell

We never get food from Winnipeg Harvest at our centre, but through a series of events that are too long and complicated to explain, a box of Oreo cookies was dropped off last Friday. Sandy, our resident grandfather, tried one and declared them "Harder than the hinges of hell."

Can that man ever turn a phrase.

That phrase I completely must adopt.

Brilliant.

Do you read Hula's blog? She turns some great phrases too, she's in Kentucky and I suspect some of them are new to me but locally more common and some of them are hers.

I need to remember that one, it's good. My grandpa is full of those, I need to start writing them down...lol

Definitely my new catch phrase. Will try desperately to find an appropriate opportunity to use it today.
